Our Business

The original organisation, the predecessor of Mantrain Solutions, BankSolv, was formed as a company in Johannesburg in October 1994 with the original executive and staff being recruited from Andersen Consulting. Additional consultants were typically identified through their previous working relationship with the executive and demonstration of high quality performance. An alliance with Mantrain Solutions was formed due to the synergies that were to be gained. Mantrain Solutions is a Level Three BBBEE contributor accredited company and value adding enterprise (110%).

Carmen Campleman

Executive Consultant

Carmen Campleman

A professional business and information technology consultant, qualified with a BSc Honours degree in Computer Science and an MBA both conferred by the University of the Witwatersrand. She was the first female EP Bradlow Gold Medal winner in 1985.

Carmen has over 34 years working experience, with 24 years spent as a management consultant within the financial services industry, performing:

  • - Business and information technology strategy and planning;
  • - Business transformation and re-engineering
  • - Enterprise architecture (business and technology related);
  • - Business process re-engineering;
  • - Project management;
  • - Business and application systems analysis and design;
  • - Application systems development; and
  • - Technical systems and network support.

Carmen has consulting experience at all business levels : problem identification and recommendations at executive levels; investigations and solutions developed in consultation with middle management; and managing departments and projects of up to 50 professional staff. She has developed consulting and business practices, that involved strategic, marketing and business planning, internal methodology and staff development.

Vusumuzi Buthelezi

Vusumuzi Buthelezi

A professional business and information systems consultant, qualified with a B.Com Economics and Econometrics at the University of Johannesburg. Vusi has over 10 years working experience within the financial services industry, mining and government. His primary roles have been:

  • - Developing business requirement specifications including associated system processes and business rules;
  • - Conducting workshops with relevant stakeholders; and obtaining signoff for the “To Be” designs;
  • - Presenting solution documentation to the relevant stakeholders in order to reach consensus and buy-in;
  • - Designing “To be processes” based on best practices and liaising with SME’s from the key business areas; and
  • - Conducting systems, process and people impact analysis of the proposed system design and processes.

As a previous Accenture consultant, Vusumuzi has consulting experience at all business levels, spanning from problem identification and recommendations at executive levels as well as investigations and solutions developed in consultation with users and management.

Genevieve Solomons

Vusumuzi Buthelezi

A professional information systems and process consultant, qualified with a B.BusSc Hons degree majoring in Information Systems from the University of Cape Town.
Genevieve has over 15 years working experience doing system development, business analysis, project management and process engineering, with 10 years spent as a consultant. Her primary roles have been:

  • - Development of a management information and reporting system including phases of analysis, building, testing and user training;
  • - Involvement in IT Governance for two large banks including development of the risk and reporting framework, processes for IT service delivery and service monitoring including service level agreements and business continuity plans;
  • - Conducting AS-IS process problem analysis and solution development for the retail front- and back-office operational processes of a large bank;
  • - Defining impacts to AS-IS processes when there are new systems requirements and then developing and implementing the revised business processes;
  • - Reengineering of processes, including analysis of AS-IS processes, development of business cases, development of TO-BE processes, calculation of time standards, testing, training and user support and measuring of benefits.
